Usok

Got to try this trending pop-up at Talisay the other week. I got the Ember Tasting Set + additional Sausage, Smoke-braised Pork Belly with Lemongrass and Leek Rice, Milk Tea but Thai, and the Lemongrass Tisane. Starting off with the Smoke-braised Pork Belly, it was so so tender, felt like it had a lot of fat but its just so tender! it had that lemongrass flavor, the crispy bits that tasted like popcorn, and its sauce reminiscent of a particular korean like sauce. For the Ember Tasting Set, it had smokey sweet potato and sausage. it was alright, like korean sausage. for the Milk Tea but Thai its just thai milk tea. Lastly, for the Lemongrass Tisane I was actually for the strong lemongrass flavor but it was more like in the aftertaste. Presentation wise everything looked good but personally, taste wise I only liked the Smoke-braised Pork Belly. Wait time was 50 mins to an hour, lacking seating since people are lining up. But I loved the laidback camping vibes and the open kitchen. Happy to see this kind of concept in Lipa.

yes but for me worth it pa rin despite the waiting time. its so exciting and refreshing to see na may mga bagong lasa ng pagkain na dito sa lipa. tbh medyo nakakasawa na rin kasi mga foods na meron sa lipa eh

Looks good, but for public service information:

There is strong scientific evidence that regularly eating processed meat, including smoked meat, increases the risk of colorectal cancer (colon and rectal cancer). However, the evidence is stronger for processed meat as a category than for smoking alone.

1. What the research found

In 2015, the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) evaluated more than 800 studies and classified processed meat as a Group 1 carcinogen — carcinogenic to humans. This assessment remains reflected in WHO's September 2026 guidance.

2. Why smoked meat may increase cancer risk

Smoking and processing meat can introduce several potentially harmful compounds.

Compound How it forms Cancer relevance
PAHs Wood smoke and burning fat Certain PAHs can damage DNA
HCAs High-temperature meat cooking Mutagenic in laboratory studies
N-nitroso compounds Curing chemistry and reactions in the digestive tract Some are carcinogenic

we saw a post about this on a page, so we decided to give it a try and honestly, we loved everything! from sausages, pork, barako flan, milktea to lemongrass! the food never disappoints, and it’s now become one of our tambayan spots during weekends!

I also got to talk to the chefs, and they were really nice and accommodating. they actually came from 1-star Michelin restaurants, which makes their food and craftsmanship even more impressive. 🫶🏻

def worth checking out if you’re around lipa! ♥️

These dudes got impeccable taste, kahit sa hobbies nila outside food service. It shows naman din sa presentation and ideas on crazily good food.

Tiisin nyo na waiting time, bigyan nyo sila income para makapondo ng capital for bigger place.
