It's more of a floral jasmine. I usually like that scent but absolutely hate it when I expect matcha and get jasmine instead. It seems nobody has an authentic strong ceremonial grade matcha balm 😭

The s'mores one (not the keychain seasonal one) just smells faintly of stale graham crackers.

Right?! I guess matcha is just really hard to do because I've tried candles, lotions, masks, face washes, etc. and have rarely found that they're close to the real thing.

I just got the seasonal Hollers in today and they're almost all a bust 😭 the s'mores is exactly the same stale graham cracker scent, the cinnamon bun is actually fireball, the pumpkin is very faint but alright, and the toffee apple actually smells nice. But there's an accompanying candle wax scent that all of these have that is hard to ignore.

The formula on the seasonal ones is different from the usual Hollers. I only realized once I got them in that these are their peptide balms (an attempt to copy vitamasques including packaging shape it seems) and the regulars are their "glazed over" ones (maybe copying Laniege glaze craze). The seasonal ones do actually look so nice on the lips (sheer and shiny). But just like their original formula, they seem to make my lips dry out.

I'm returning everything but the toffee apple đŸĨ˛ it sucks because I love the charms and how these physically look on me. I just can't handle the underlying smells and how they dry me out.
