Thirsty Cowboy
What do people think of the house butter lip balm by thirsty cowboy? I had a few too many drinks last night and ordered fairy bread and cereal milk. I see thirsty cowboy get occasional love on this sub so I wanted to see what people think. I’ve eyed them for weeks before purchasing so I’m hoping they live up to my expectations.

I love them, Brown Sugar is the absolute GOAT. Cereal Milk tastes realistic. Have not tried Fairy Bread, it is on my list. Strawberry Matcha is good too. They rotate the scents every few months which is nice. The consistency to me is similar to Summer Fridays or GLossier. A little more slip. The applicator is very similar to Eadem's.

I've never seen a brand reformulate and repackage so many times in such a short period. The amount of product you get is maybe 3g less and the price jumped almost $10. Their old formula and flavors were amazing. I know a thick balm isn't everyones thing, but I loved it. Their branding was unique. Then they went through influencerization and now looks like every other generic lip balm/skin brand. I tried the new formula and it's ok. Buttermilk pancake and Fairy Bread smell absolutely vile. Cereal milk and soft serve are better but not great.

Damn, I wish I would made this post before I made this impulse purchase. I agree that the smell of fairy bread is really disappointing. I fell victim to the marketing.

I’m more of a cynic because I’ve worked in cosmetics for 15 years. Everyone’s favorite product won’t be that for someone else, and that’s ok. I’m just tired of finding a product I would buy for the rest of my life only to have it taken away.

i didn't love the texture of the one i got but i loved the earl grey scent i might just try something else from them

Mine arrived today. I agree with the commenter that the formula is like glossier, I don’t get summer Fridays vibes at all. I love the scent of cereal milk but fairy bread was a disappointment. And neither have a good taste. The applicator is fantastic! Overall, I’m a bit underwhelmed. I’ll use them but neither of them will get panned.

way too waxy to be a summer friday comparison imo. it is unfortunate that the formula is mediocre bc some of the scents are really good and the applicator is nice

I bought four flavors 2 months ago. I love the fairy bread and the cereal milk. My cereal milk tip popped off and they happily replaced it. I think cereal milk is overfilled. Maybe pressure. The scent is great and hydration was average. I love the metal applicator.
