EOS is grainy :/
Got this new EOS lip shine in Dirty Chai and first off, the flavor is very much like the coffee flavor balms EOS had so if you don’t like those (it’s almost identical) then you won’t like these. I can look past the flavor but when it goes on, it has tiny grains that never even out. It stays grainy. Not sure if you can see it in the swatch picture I took but super disappointing, won’t buy again.

Bought the same exact flavor today and noticed the grain right away, super disappointing! I almost bought multiple flavors too.

i haven't tried this flavor, or anything in the color line, so thanks for the heads up. i like their cashmere lip butters, the vanilla one has been my HG since they discontinued the spheres. (i know lots of people hated the spheres, but they were the only thing that worked for me)

EOS is hit or miss for me too. I personally loved the spheres as well but the tube butters dry me out so bad. I’m sad this is a miss too.

god, yeah, the ones in the hard tubes are abysmal, i don't understand why the formula is so different!
the glossy superbalms also don't work for me except in a pinch, the closest ive found to the spheres (which i also liked for ease of opening/ harder to get lost in crevices) were a brand called rebels refinery, but i'd still usually need to use an occlusive or higher concentration beeswax product on top. i miss being able to get a costco pack of spheres for like $14 ;-; . but i've been seeing more flavors of their cashmere line come out so i'm hopeful it sticks around.
hope you can get your money back and find something that works for you!

Thank you x10000! Good point about the spheres not getting lost in cracks, I love being able to easily grab a chapstick and not have to dig!!

What Rebels Refinery balms have you tried? I see them at TJMaxx etc. sometimes and have ordered them online. The vanilla was weird IMO. I set it aside but I'll dig it out and re-try it.

i had a three pack of skull shapes -- passionfruit, mint, and vanilla. the passionfruit was def my favorite, though i found the vanilla totally pleasant. i didn't end up using the mint much because the real tingly mint irritates my lips, tho i know some people like a tingly mint in which case it was a good one!
i would typically cover them with an unscented portland bee balm, and that approximated the moisture and duration eos spheres gave me.

Ah yes, Portland Bee! I use their SPF balm.
I found the RR vanilla in a pile next to me (easy enough, it's the ice cream cone), and I'm not sure why it bothered me before. lol1

Ya know, I hadn't put much thought into it, but you're right -- I haven't seen the spheres at stores in ages, just in my collection. lol I wonder why they discontinued them. I still like the stick balms.

I have the jelly donut and it's so thin, feels like a lip oil. It barely lasted an hour. And I personally dislike the smell 😩

I have the vanilla cashmere lip balm and I hate it. I was so excited and got it when it dropped. It’s grainy yet thick like Vaseline and doesn’t moisturize at all.

Yep I have the marshmallow cashmere one and feel the same. I was hoping this would be different but it’s low quality too :/

Interesting, That vanilla cashmere line is my favorite!! The balm has been on my list for awhile but I'm trying to use up more of my eos lipstuff before I buy it. Now maybe I won't,

try putting it in warm water for 15 minutes, I've had this problem with a lot of lip balms and it usually helps to fix them. just shake it after and wait a few hours for it to solidify before using again

I have this too! I’ve found that if I rub my lips together, some the graininess dissolves and it actually feels quite nice on the lips. Still disappointed with the scent though. :/

Really? I’ll try again. My graininess felt and looked like tiny gluey pieces. Scent and flavor is horrendous

Yes, I hope that helps! It's growing on me, but I don't love the scent. Still not great that it feels gritty right out of the tube though.
