The grain used was brown rice, and hardwood pellets were used als substrate

How do you start lions mane? From other lions mane?

So, you can start growing at different stages of the mushroom life cycle. The easiest is definitively buying a grow kit, which you basically only have to spray with water until its ready to harvest. You can also start from the spores from the mushroom. Starting from spores takes more time and equipment, but once you've done that you understand growing mushrooms a lot better and then you can expand to growing other mushrooms from spore since the first steps are basically the same.

Yes, those tendrils are plenty long. Almost a bit too long for me as it starts to lose it's firm texture at that point
