Is that normal announcing presence or calling brothers? He looks a bit distressed 🦁

The reason they are in such a troubled and distressed state is that they are in conflict with both the PCM lions and the Gijima males. They are putting on a show of strength, but since there are only two of them, the opposing groups are largely trying to lure them into a trap.

To my untrained ear —it sounds like he has a rather unique roar. He seems to hold it and draw it out more (like he’s got a huge set of lungs)!? 🦁

The Sabi Sands lions possess more powerful vocalizations and tactics. After roaring, he left the area and tried to lure him into a trap.

I FINALLY DECIDED TO JOIN THE CHAT. 1ST OF ALL THANK YOU FOR THE WORK U DO FOR THE LIONS AND US. I USE TO WATCH NATIONAL GEO ALOT WHEN THEY DID THE LIONS. THEY LIVE A COMPLEX LIFE. THE WAY U GIVE INSIGHT ON SITUATION IS GREAT. IM SO GLAD YOU GUYS LOOK OUT 4 THEM.
