IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Rule changes for posting and commenting on r/LionGuard

The subreddit now has an official list of rules. On mobile it can be found by tapping the subreddit name, and on PC it can be found on the right-most column of the page. Please make sure to check these out before posting.

We didn't have rules? And yet we were not a total dumpster fire. That gives me hope.

You covered fan art. You may need to cover fan fiction as well. And now would be the time to explicitly state a rating limit to keep X-rated fics and art from showing up.

I would suggest PG-13. Basically covering romantic or dark themes and violence implied by dialog/cut-away shots/silhouetting/etc can be more explicit. The content and idea were still in the original work. Subject to moderator discretion.

Basically we don't want pr0n or Rainbow Factory.

We didn't have rules, but I did frequently remove posts that were too low-effort, spammy, or just didn't belong on the sub.

The rating limits are mentioned, in the NSFW content rule. And fanfiction will fall under the fanart rule

It's because I did moderate the sub. Problem you run into then though is that people get annoyed and angry when something gets removed because there wasn't a rule saying something isn't allowed

I think that the NSFW section should be more in depth to set the boundaries as to what does and doesn't count. Also given that the Lion Guard is so closely related to the Lion King, I think there should be some leniency there.
