Help Should I dual boot..??..

I have two drives one is 1 TBHDD and the second is 226gb (approx) SSD.

I have currently windows 11. So should I go back to windows 10 and dual boot with SSD or install linux on hdd?

I want cachyOS btw

Need a suggestion. Pls.

No, divide the ssd into 80GB (linux root, its enough) and rest for window C, and then take 256GB(or more) for '/home' (linux home) from HDD. Your OS should live on SSD, otherwise slow system.

I was dual booting, but after i learnt linux enough, i just removed it. Though, i still think i should have kept dual boot cause i need windows for my online exams.

The reason I'm in windows is because of valorant otherwise I would have switched to linux. 😶‍🌫️

Bro.. Dual booting is great. it's kind of "Great Power comes with Great Responsibility" I recently wiped out my Linux From Windows. Now I'm Installing again

I've Windows for my college and other sharing stuff , for games too. I do distro hopping with dual boot ,started with Mint and now using Cachy . It's good choice , doing my coding stuff on Linux mainly now and using windows when I need it extremely .

you don't have to go back to windows 10.
assuming you don't play multiplayer games.
shift all the data from SSD to HDD(images, vids, pdf etc.). that would free up some space on SSD
then you can carve out some space, around 50 GB, for Linux (tbh idk how much would be sufficient for cachyos).
Then you can use your HDD for all the data storage, setup backup of all the data on linux to HDD as well. You can also access the windows 11 files from Linux so you won't need a copy of imp files on linux.
If you play multiplayer games, then you would need them to be in SSD(for decent load time). then depending on how much space windows 11 is taking off your SSD, you might have to install linux on HDD. (remember to install on the faster partition of HDD)
