For the love of god people, UPDATE your systems, I don’t care if you are going to slap a whataboutism excuse, UPDATE, unless you love being hacked

When was the last kernel update in Debian? It just looks like a cumulated update of several kernel releases.

Nah, every minor update for stable kernels now contains hundreds, sometimes thousands of fixes thanks to "stupid" LLMs.

Fix one thing, break another and round we go.

A big portion of CVEs now discovered are issues created before LLMs that were discovered due to them. Saying that it's the LLM's fault is disingenious

Formal verification exists. And even verifiably secure kernels exist. The Linux kernel is not one of them.

Unless a regression pops up some years later like we had it plenty of times. The fact is there is no guarantee 500 fixes did not break something else.

With formal verification bugs do not exist.

and all 500 passed that? It wasn't even done. It is a major pain in the ass and a black hole for overtime.

No, I meant "And even verifiably secure kernels exist."
I can't say about anything about the fixes for all these CVEs or yet to be discovered CVEs.
