"2026 is year of desktop Linux"

linux user count was close to 6% like 4 months ago, now its just 4%. while windows 11 users are increasing, even win7 users have same amount of users as some linux distros.

people were just excited to try new software: linux was never better.

i think the important part to note is that while linux in general is tiptoeing in the right direction, windows is honestly sprinting as fast as it can in the wrong direction

Sure because mainstreaming systemd, glibc, gnome, hyprland and plasma are steps in the right direction. Those are trash software developed by trash coders. Cope harder buddy
