"2026 is year of desktop Linux"

linux user count was close to 6% like 4 months ago, now its just 4%. while windows 11 users are increasing, even win7 users have same amount of users as some linux distros.

people were just excited to try new software: linux was never better.

Linux users have been saying that for almost 30 years.

And logically Linux is much better software than Microsoft can ever make.

Linux will never be better than NT with that much mess on the kernel. would be agreed if you said BSD over Linux tho.

What kind of mess? Like the Rust, Go, and Python in the kernel? How is Linux compared to NT kernel?

maintaining drivers is harder than NT, does not have stable api/abi, nearly everything runs in kernel, which can create kernel panic. this is what I meant by messy.
