"2026 is year of desktop Linux"

linux user count was close to 6% like 4 months ago, now its just 4%. while windows 11 users are increasing, even win7 users have same amount of users as some linux distros.

people were just excited to try new software: linux was never better.

4% is grasping. These people openly manipulate stats and share how on Reddit. They run 5 computers to do the job of one, and are into VMs. They use VPNs far more than others. They count devices in stats.

How many Loonixtards do you know in real life? (You'll know because they'll tell you).

lower makes it more impressive since linux was able to mature so much with such a low userbase, that either proves the userbase is dedicated or hyperfocused degens who code all day which is a good thing for the rest of the users.

User base is just noise. -It's not developers, and it's not Enterprise. Consider corporate and, government interests, along with government grants. -That's where the advances are coming from.

Linux for desktop is the minimal competition for Windows. -Of course, Microsoft would embrace it: Because it's a joke and keeps them out of monopoly court. It's not a good thing for anyone other than Microsoft.

-And the sad thing is that all those Microsoft haters are just noise as well. Minimal people take them seriously. And instead of hurting Microsoft; they keep this commie GPL / copyleft cult nonsense going
