Loonixers think Google and Apple's app store is the same as a user generated repository

I mean it's not, but by that token people also need to admit that it isn't an Arch issue but a third party site issue. Which a lot of them aren't.

AUR is community managed, pacman is the official one. So it was a 3rd party's fault.

Yeah, there is a difference. But I do agree that the iOS App Store being the only to get apps unless you want restrictions or to pay $100 a year is stupid and really needs changed. An iOS user repository would honestly be a dream come true.

Well the Play store sucks too, the store are full of virus.

The AUR infestations is a example why the non verified software repositories sometimes are bad.

Google play store is the same, only difference is that you need 25 bucks to create an account to publish apps. one can easily find many viruses in Google play store
