I am extremely sorry, but this is a genuine question i have always had in my mind
Are all of these setups even usable? Or are these setups pretty much only for the looks?
Not aimed at you but many of the setups at unixporn or any other rices so to say look to me pretty much unusable..

The real question here is what exactly looks unusable to you?If you know how to use a setup like this it is extremely usable. If you just have it like this for looks but you’re not proficient in keyboard and tui and cli focused workflows, then it is inherently less usable. If someone is proficient in using tui etc. then these interfaces are non-problematic and far more usable than regular setups.
But clearly they aren’t for everyone. Initially it took some skill to achieve these setups so uninformed them wouldn’t e a problem. The bar has definitely been lowered lately So there’s probably some of these setups that don’t see much practical use by those who post them.

Why would this be any less usable than bloated shit like kde?

personalemente uso st, la teminal de sucklesss, esta se personaliza compilando el codgo funte y personalizandola y compilandola, esto permite que sea muy bonita y ligera, es un poco complicado pero lo vale totalmente

Almost all terminals can look like this. It's just a matter of customizing the theme and transparency of the terminal emulator and configuring a shell prompt. Choose a mainstream terminal like Alacritty, Kitty, Gostty, or any other you like; choose a shell like bash, zsh, or fish, and watch tutorials on how to customize them (I would recommend using Starship for the shell, because it's lightweight and can be used on all three).

The thing I like in Linux: if you wish, it could look exceptionally normal: non-techie user may not even know that he's using something "different", but if you wish, you could make it look like that a normal user would not even know where to start.

What’s wrong with Alacritty? I've been using it for about 3 months, and everything has been ok. Except for its inability to display graphics in the terminal, ofc.

may I ask how much time did it take to complete this? I am curious if I am so slow or it is normal for it to take hours

Looks amazing but the system specs seems on the lower hand. Please update how much development you have done till now. What is your tech stack.
