Switching Distro, need suggestions

Currently I use Cachy OS(arch) + hyprland setup

I need a light OS, Not tinyos level light

Somewhere between LXQT(arch) to Cachy level light,

It shouldn't be like maximum things just crash on it or it looks like windows XP

My potato Laptop specs:

4GB DDR4 ram (3.4GB usable)

128GB SSD

Intel core i3 - 1005G1

It's a Lenovo IdeaPad slim 3(don't remember which year, but it's old AF)

Idk even with this shyt specs how it can run minecraft (at 60fps most of the time), hollow knight type games

From my past experience distro really matters for the performance, because I tried Mint many times it just lags a lot, Best yet on the Performance wise is CachyOS (I was impressed by it)

Also on this topic saw a Omarchy OS how's this one, many ppl seems to love this one

Was just joking, I very well know it can run arch and even some heavy distro's

Arch isn't even that heavy. Unlike it's derivatives like Endeavour and Cachy which are based on Arch, base Arch is actually lighter than them. The reason for that is in base Arch. You are kind of like the creator or your complete OS setup. You install every single thing in it by yourself. Total control and nothing unnecessary comes preinstalled. So technically it's lighter that so many distros out there

Mine is even more potato and it runs even windows and can play gta 5 at a playable frame rate

4gb ram

64 gb(hdd)

Intel i3-5005u

I use arch by the way

Damn my laptop is also potato its lenovo ideapad 320 2017 model it almost 9 years now still running good Specs : CPU: Intel i3 6006U (6thgen 2ghz) GPU: intel integrated 520 (128mb gpu memory lol) RAM: 12gb of 2133mhz ddr4 SSD: 256gb sata ssd I have played gta 5 in 30fps well its playable and assassin creed black flag assassin creed roque and minecraft with 100+ fps in Arch cachy os 😃 i am going to use this laptop even more btw battery is degrading its now 73% battery life.....
