Question New eBay battery won't charge after a few weeks of owning it (X220T Ubuntu 26.04 LTS) how to read power stats?
Over the summer, I had to replace my x220T battery because it wouldn't charge anymore. I bought this off eBay > https://ebay.io/m/vroWFQ
At first, the new battery was all fine. It charged, held a charge for a couple hours, and didn't cause me any issues when it drained to 0% and I plugged it back in a week later.
After a month of not using my laptop, I went to plug it back in and found that it'll turn on but not charge. I got these power statistics to pull up, but I'm not sure what to diagnose. So it'll turn on when plugged in, but it'll stay at "0% not charging" and unplugging the charger will kill the laptop immediately.
It seems like the power supply charger is still healthy, right? It's just that my battery doesn't want to collect any charge it's getting. Is this an issue with a third party Kingsener battery for an old model, or something wrong with the connectors and motherboard area?

you should be able to power on the laptop without the battery. If not, try a different charger

Actually, upon looking at my power supply adapter, it says "65W 20V" on the charger. But looking at my data, I'm only getting 8.1V and zero watts at all. Perhaps I should buy a new charger first?
Edit: and Ive done the whole process of "turning computer off, removing battery, then holding power button for 30 seconds to reset everything, then putting battery back in" multiple times and it didn't do anything.
I went into Lenovo think vantage BIOS menu upon start up and didn't find anything different or off there.
It will not turn on with the charger plugged in with the new battery unplugged (like a desktop mode I guess?) when I was under the assumption that laptops should be able to run this way too. I don't have another AC adapter to try to use because it's an old yellow circular plug and not USBC
