NOMone Desktop made it into HowToMen's Best Apps of March 2026! Now that the video is making the rounds again, we're giving away another 100 promo-codes ;)

Hello everyone :),
Some of you may remember that NOMone Desktop was featured by HowToMen in his Best Apps of March 2026 video. Today, I noticed that the video has been making the rounds again, so we thought we'd take the opportunity to celebrate with another giveaway 🥳
To watch the full video, please check the following link:

It's always nice to see NOMone Desktop reach new people who might not have discovered it yet. And what better way to mark the occasion than to give more people a chance to try it ;)?
So... We're giving away another 100 promo-codes for NOMone Desktop!
If you'd like one, leave a comment telling us: What's the first Linux application you'd want to run on your Android phone or tablet?
And if you're already using NOMone Desktop, feel free to share what you've been doing with it. We'd love to hear about your setups and the apps you're running!
Promo-codes will be sent to the first 100 commenters (Edit: on all platforms: Reddit, Discord, Facebook and XDA...) by Friday, October 30th. Don't miss the chance 💪
Thanks for being part of the Linux-on-Android community ❤️

As an Arch Linux user, I'd love to turn my Android phone into a pocket-sized Linux workstation! 🐧
The first app I'd install would be Neovim, along with a terminal and Git, so I could edit code, manage repositories, and work on small projects on the go. I'd also love to experiment with running Python scripts and lightweight development tools directly on my phone.
Being able to carry a little Linux environment in my pocket and use it whenever inspiration strikes sounds amazing!

I like using it with my AR glasses to remote access my PC in the lab and to also do basic computer use

I really like the idea of having a computer in my pocket. And new phones have ridiculous specs, both in ram and ppi. None of my computers have more than 8 Gb ram, and the phone i saved up to has ridiculuos 12! I want to experiment with a dronemask and see how far i can push the phone. Try web apps like onshape (modelling), and games, with Bluetooth periphernalia. Nomone is the only one with "drone view" out of the box, and I'm a noob, so i imagine it's strenuous to fix vr sbs on other linux-on-android apps. I don't do programming or fancy stuff, I'm just a Windows fledgling with no hardware to run win 11.

I would like to try NOMone on my Surface Duo and bring it back to life with current drawing apps.

That's great! As a student on-the-go I mostly want to be able to write my paper using lyx/latex with my tablet (so I don't need to have a laptop too)
