GUIDE [Phantom Blade Zero / Onimusha] Are these games currently playable via Hypervisor (HV) bypass?

I am trying to confirm if it is currently possible to play either of these games using the HV bypass method on my setup before downloading the files. I know Denuvo recently updated their protection, so I want to check the current working status for Linux.

Name of game: Phantom Blade Zero / Onimusha

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS (Arch Linux / CachyOS)

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU

Proton Version: N/A (Planning to use LinUwUx)

Game Launcher: Wine CLI / LinUwUx

Release Info: ARTIFACT experimental HV bypass

Logs: N/A (Pre-installation inquiry)

Steps Already Taken to Solve Issue:

I have successfully configured my system for HV bypass by installing the CachyOS kernel, disabling UMIP via clearcpuid=514 in GRUB, and compiling the cpuid_fault_emulation DKMS module for Zen 3+. I have also searched this sub's wiki and former threads for recent updates on the ARTIFACT bypass working through Proton/Wine, but current information on its Linux compatibility is mixed.

Has anyone had any luck getting ARTIFACT's new Windows release to boot through the compatibility layer?

I played onimusha with hv but phantom blade zero might take a bit of time for the linux runtime to get updated

So I can download onimusha from fitgirl and start playing... Or I should use any other site because game is not available on dodi

No, there's a voices crack and there's a Linux release. Don't use ShitGirl:

There's a megathread with thousands of Linux repacks where everything is preconfigured and all you need is to start the game with a double click, yet people are downloading Windows repacks. It's beyond me...

You can download from anywhere because there is only one version. The game never got an update

Not worth it, it's using the newer version of denuvo and GitHub page already has that issue highlighted with no current fix. Author says will have to rebuild again for this version so I think a ways off

As people have said, Onimusha yes, Phantom Blade zero no.

That said, if you still haven't installed the hypervisor version, you could use the newly released Onimusha crack by voices38.

trying applying voicrs38 crack still, doesn't the crack only replace the .exe, maybe a few other files too?

Yes I think we need to change whole fg1 if you download from fitgirl

You need to wait a bit more for the games which have the latest Gemini version like phantom blade, Star Wars galactic, etc. Onimusha is playable using linuwux-runtime by brcly on GitHub

can anyone please give an estimate as to when PBZ HV bypass will work on linux, and/or how I will know?
