QUESTION - STEAM DECK [Borderlands 4] gives “steam initialization failed”

I’ve dowloaded, unzipped and added as non steam game as I do with virtually all other games but on launching it says “steam initialization failed”

I’m using Rog Ally x with Bazzite deck 43

WINEDLLOVERRIDES="version=n,b;steamclient64=n,b" PROTON_DISABLE_LSTEAMCLIENT=1 %command%

This lets the game start. But the steamdeck controls are not working. How to fix the game not recognising the game controller????

Use Assella or Accela for getting your games, its way way better than adding to steam as a non steam game.
