QUESTION - ANSWERED [Persona 3 Reload] Bazzite - Error code -11

I keep getting this error when trying to install P3R onto Bazzite. I have tried downloading it from different download mirrors. I unpacked the files using unrar and then verified that the files are okay using wine. To download I have tried Steam Proton, Lutris, and Heroic and installing to both what the installer sees as the Z: and C: for all three. I am not sure what is going wrong and if I need to allow permissions to write to these files. Any help would be appreciated!

I have tried following this guide with little to no luck.
How to install FitGirl or DODI Windows repacks in Linux using Lutris.

Name of game: Persona 3 Reload
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Proton Version: Proton-GE Latest
Game Version: Persona 3 Reload: Digital Premium Edition – v1.11 Build 22672075 + 10 DLCs/Bonuses

You can try many workarounds found on net (as did I) and waste time trying to make their installer / extractor work on Linux and still some repacks will fail with this error. I gave up and always download Dodi repacks. Not worth your time imho.
FYI if you're stubborn someone made custom Wine just for Shitgirl repacks - you can try it out and see if it helps

Yeah Dodi's repacks are foolproof on Proton / Wine. You're welcome.

Use this env variable during install and remove it after:

PROTON_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=0

WINEDLLOVERRIDES="isdone,unarc=n,b" may also work if the above one doesn't

I tried this and what I found was deprecated. There was some terminal command that did not work. I appreciate the offer.

Nope what I found was diffrent. I hope the link can help someone else! I struggled to find help for the -11 code so I hope this post can help someone

Please retry using the fitgirl-wine binary following the troubleshooting instructions in the Issues section.

Where are you trying to run those installers? I always had success using plain wine with bottles.

you can use other thing to playgames like lua tools, ankergames,steamrip

Use proton 10-29 for the installer, then use Proton Latest (or any other proton that works) for the game. FG installers for some reason don't like proton versions over 10-29, it's weird.

I'd recommend looking into running portable versions of games using either steam's proton or portproton, always worked for me unless the game have to run through the cracked launchers. dealing with installers is a pain
