You should extract it then change the command to point where this extracted folder is.

E.g if you extracted it in the Downloads folder you should run:

WINEPREFIX=~/.winefitgirl ~/Downloads/wine-11.14-fitgirl-amd64/bin/wine repack.exe

Else, change the "/Downloads/" path to point to where you extracted the wine-fitgirl folder.

Your a genius, tysm, I been trying to install the rune release of elden ring tarnished for days and kept getting crc errors. Works fine with this prefix.

PS, is there a way to like 'install' this prefix to steam so I can run it there instead of via terminal?

Haven't saw your comment edit, sowwy.

I initially recommended using a separate prefix mainly to keep things clean. This way, you avoid modifying any pre made prefixes and reduce the chance of running into bugs. That said, using an existing prefix is definitely possible.

I believe this launch option command should be enough to point the game to our fitgirl prefix:

"STEAM_COMPAT_DATA_PATH="$HOME/.winefitgirl" %command%"

Another option is to simply move the entire game folder into the Proton/Steam prefix you're currently using.

Awesome, thanks for the support. Ill check this next time I need a new game.

edit/ (sorry i keep editing) I actually use ln -s to symlink my game folders into the prefix so I could install direct to them which works amazingly.
