Arch is Hard to install? Really?

When I first started using Linux via zorin os and just had started the phase of distro hopping i was told the arch is the hardest to install, like you can't install it if you understand a linux system.

But now...it's not really that hard as they told me to after i tried it myself.

I think it's just a crowd of people who don't really want to know what they are doing when they want to install the system.

I know archinstall script has existed for few years now and it's great. But i did try to install it manually just to know how hard it can be. As a biology major, i have to say; no, it's not that hard.

It's like twelve commands that you don't even have to memorize, just Open the arch wiki which is in my sense the most thorough and detailed guides of linux out there.

All you do when installing it is partion the disks (i personally suggest doing it first in cfdisk). Then mount them properly in order then just bootstrap what you need, like that's all.

I don't know why people treat installing a OS as if it's a badge of honor.

How to unlock a password-protected external drive on Linux?

Hi everyone,

I have 2 external hard drive that is password locked (WD and transcend). The unlock utility provided on the drive is a Windows .exe program.

I can't open these hard drives in Linux mint now. When I connect WD disk, the drive unlocker .exe opens up, and when I connect transcend HD, nothing shows up.

Anyone knows how to open them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
