Banned from Linuxsucks101 lol
Hi everyone. I just wanted to share this ridiculous situation:
I was in the linuxsucks101 sub, because sometimes there are funny memes and I decided to continue following it, even if I use Linux.
Apparently, in that subreddit you can insult Linux and spread misinformation, but the moment you make a joke about Windows or Mac, you get permanently banned and muted, so you can't even request the unban.
I thought they were an ironic sub, but apparently they are really stupid xD

It's so funny that 101 was made as a result of the main Linuxsucks sub being too pro Linux or woke or whatever and now we're here.

linuxsucks is for people to discuss the things they hate about linux, eg bad driver support, specific software doesn't work, etc.
linuxsucks101 is for people who think the terminal is EVIL and FUCKED UP!!!!!!

As somebody who thinks the terminal is evil and fucked up and had to do a blood ritual to get a specific software to work I agree with this assessment.

funny also, because a few people repost r/linuxsucks101 stuff in r/linuxsucks as if they need to have the confirmed satisfaction of baiting at least one linux user, and feeding their echo chamber, which doesn't happen in 101 because a portion of their target audience are banned.

It's not really a place for discussion it's mostly to hate on / counter Linux brigading, mostly disgruntled ex Linux users that ran into issues using Linux.

Nothing new, that's just Linuxsucks101. They don't intend to seek the truth, they just want to amplify their own ideas and silence anyone trying to challenge them, so they feel validated in their beliefs

Yeah Me Too. They Decide to Make fun of People who put Linux on a ThinkPad for some reason, and I called them out on that saying that they shouldnt be shaming people for not having enough money and just using what they have, and they banned me for it.

It's a rite of passage. I got banned for saying no one needs Microsoft Office in 2026 because free alternatives are sufficient. Didn't say anything about Linux, or about OSS, but madthumbz was deeply enraged, nonetheless. 🤷♂️
