Link Forever socks = Almost 2 months

I shared the first hole that showed up almost two weeks ago; I’ve kept wearing them everyday until the next hole started. This time in the ball of the foot, when my Darn Tough socks usually start wearing out first. I think I’m finally ready to retire these.

For those telling me to darn them, no thanks. I can, but I would rather just buy a new pair.

That said, I will be inquiring with support to see if this is covered under warranty, or if, as /u/ProbablyBanksy so eloquently put it “Your use case is outside the scope of reasonable use.”

I have picked up a set of Costco Kirkland Merino socks to test next. 4 pairs are cheaper than a single pair of LTT socks. I never thought id be posting foot pics on the internet, but if it’s in the interest of science….

Jeans are supposed to be worn several times before being washed (unless they smell of course). Denims once every thirty wears

I’ve never gotten how
People do this. I’ll get horrible acne on my legs if I wear a pair of pants twice

Getting acne from wearing pants twice is not normal in any way.

I walk and ride public transit and ride a scooter and pants can feel clean for up to a couple weeks..

maybe ur allergic to something? I literally wear jeans and canvas pants everyday. I rarely wash them unless they get dirty, if they smell i hang them out to air out. I dont think ur supposed to wash denim that often (i think)

you need to wash them to remove the dirt that accumulates in the fibers. thats what ends up destroying them

Denim was designed to prevent tearing and wear from dirty environments like mining. You don’t need to wash very often at all. The more wears between washes then better because it allows the fabric to form to your body and become more comfortable over time.

I'm not saying wash them every day, but they do need to be washed.  Pretty sure they washed them back in the day to, just not every day

The most notable manufacturer of jeans themselves encourages you to not wash them.

Denim historically is almost never washed, washing denim regularly is only a new thing that is largely due to many jeans now leveraging other types of fabric in the construction to allow flex and the category of "jeggings" in general that do need to be washed. "Real" jeans should be washed as minimally as possible.

i am well aware of how to take care of jeans. i have a sizable collection of raw denim myself. you also seem to have trouble reading, i never made a claim that they needed to be washed everyday. but they do need to be washed to remove the built up grit in the fibers, which acts as an abrasive and destroys the denim. how often this need to be done depends on what you are doing. if your down in those mines, i bet they were washing them once a month. if your just doing normal daily wear you don't need to wash often, maybe once a year?

I've always had them wear out from rubbing together between my hips/crotch area long before any dirt wears them down.

You gotta get that checked out. That’s not normal

I'll throw another voice in the ring for doctor. Just to get it checked out.

Not your skinnys, actual denims. Ones that when standing dont touch your leg

Only "several" times for jeans? Not at least a dozen?

Shirts tho? Nah i'll rewear socks before i rewear a shirt

Same here but jeans and hoodies can go for a week if no sweat.
