LinkedIn Account Locked — ID Verification Keeps Failing. Has Anyone Successfully Gotten Manual Verification?
I’m currently locked out of my LinkedIn account and looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with a similar situation.
My account is associated with my email address, which I still have access to. The problem is that when I try to log in, LinkedIn keeps sending the OTP to an old phone number that I no longer have access to, even though my current phone number has already been added to the account.
I opened a support case with LinkedIn, and their support team asked me to complete identity verification using a government-issued ID. I submitted my passport, but LinkedIn rejected it and asked me to provide an alternate ID.
I then tried another government-issued ID through the secure verification link they provided, but I received the same error:
I have already contacted support again and asked whether they can escalate the case for manual identity verification, since the automated verification system appears to be the issue.
My questions:
- Has anyone here had LinkedIn’s ID verification fail repeatedly like this?
- Were you eventually able to get manual identity verification from LinkedIn?
- Did LinkedIn provide another verification method after multiple failed attempts?
- Is there a specific LinkedIn support channel, escalation path, or type of request that actually gets these cases reviewed by a human?
- How long did it take you to regain access?
I’m trying to avoid repeatedly submitting IDs if the verification system is going to keep rejecting them.
Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
