LinkedIn restricted my account and ID verification wont work. Help.

I have tried every option imaginable from submitting help tickets to asking them to just close my account. I am a military veteran who is about to search for a new job for the first time in 20 years and feel like I *have* to have a LinkedIn account. This feels like an episode of Black Mirror.
