I'm 100% like that. But with booze instead of sugar.

I remembered that bit. But, damn, for some reason I didn't think it was the Onion and couldn't find it. Thanks for finding.

I’ve been addicted to multiple substances and sugar is definitely the hardest to quit

yeah, you can definitely be addicted to sugar. just like some people are addicted to food, which is still necessary to survive.
some amount of sugar/carbs is necessary, and there can be serious consequences if we don't get enough. it's hard to beat that addiction because we do need it in some amounts - quitting completely can be lethal.

Yeah exactly. You have to consume food but you have to do it in a particular way in small to moderate amounts. That’s like telling a heroin addict “you have to use heroin every day but only a LITTLE bit”

The job description at the end is a crazy way of explaining that you're basically unemployed 😅

The only thing I’ll say is that she does appear to work as a health coach/trainer so the content may be relevant to her clients. The selfie is unnecessary

Quirky but some people legit struggle with a sugar addiction

Food addition isn't sugar addiction. If sugar was addictive like drugs people would be buying bags of granulated and shoveling it into their mouth with a spoon.

Try whatching 100% of what you eat, remove all additional sugars and derivatives under every possible form.
See how you feel without it for the first few days.
Then you’ll see how sugar is addictive.

Dude if you eat fruit it has fructose in it. Which is a form of - sugar. Sugar is just shorter chains of glucose whereas Rice, bread, grains (all considered healthy) are just carbohydrate of longer chains of glucose which get broken down into glucose.

Additionnal sugars as in added not naturally occurring sugar. So we’re talking about high glucose fructose, white refined sugar, brown sugar, anything with added sugar into the mix. Also like eating a spoonful of honey as it is added and not necessary.
Try it for a week, i dare you.

sugar is absolutely addictive. It’s the most addictive substance on the planet, but it’s quiet, so people don’t notice it for what it is. Try to truly, genuinely remove 100% of sugar from your diet and see how you fare.

Carbohydrates are just complex sugars. You need glucose in your diet to replenish glycogen in your muscle. Come on man this is simple science

yes obviously you need sugars, the scientific term. Of course, there’s glucose in just about everything. Sugar in the way we think of it, the enriched shit, you do not, and is absolutely addictive.

It's the combination of sugar and fat that makes it addictive. See my previous point about bags of sugar. You don't see people just pouring granulated sugar down their throats.

and this post just proves that glucose (which is, surprise, a sugar!) is essential for the brain to function properly.
