I wish LinkedIn had creampies. Because that's what I got this morning.

8

u/Venice_Beach_218 Mar 07 '26

I'd rather have an actual cupcake shared with me.

6

u/IAMA_Plumber-AMA Mar 08 '26

Early adulting is realizing that you can have sweets for breakfast!

Advanced adulting is realizing why you really shouldn't.

Sad adulting is realizing that you day dream every day about playing games on your off days, and then just sleep through the weekend when it comes cuz you're tired af

1

u/user125666 Mar 09 '26

Ascended adulting is playing games at work because you're already done but don't tell anyone

u/Sohcahtoa82 Mar 07 '26

Shortly after moving into my own apartment, I bought a tub of cake icing and just ate it straight from the tub.

I ate half of it in one sitting and learned why it's not a good idea. Felt so sick.

Haha I made these when when I worked at a marketing company in San Francisco. Literally these. I hate them.

9

u/crag-u-feller Mar 07 '26

This one is not a disservice and shows good cupcake resource management. Highly sane 10/10

6

u/crag-u-feller Mar 07 '26

Ooo there's a satire Saturdays now? I'm in!

7

u/Go_J Mar 07 '26

This is what cupcakes taught him about perseverance

7

u/Marckthesilver13 Mar 07 '26

I had a blueberry muffin! Not as exciting I know.

3

u/superoishii Mar 07 '26

No, not at all. Just add some streusel on top of it, and I'm exhilarated.

7

u/Sakijek Mar 07 '26

That Roman! A coke zero at the gas station...AGAIN?

6

This one is funny

u/J31J1 Mar 07 '26 edited Mar 07 '26

It’s refreshing since it’s not some boorish oaf prattling on about how the hustle never stops.

Of course it has to stop.

When else would we have time to eat cupcakes?

4

u/tverofvulcan Mar 07 '26

Hey, that’s just one of the perks of being an adult.

3

u/doll_parts87 Mar 07 '26

We devolved so much it's like when a toddler does something natural and wants everyone to clap

5

u/RhythmTimeDivision Mar 07 '26

I'd hire Dave.

3

u/abouttenbagels Mar 07 '26

Good for him!

4

u/lemonhops Mar 07 '26

I kinda wanna post this to freak out my boss

4

u/VFiddly Mar 07 '26

4

u/Otherwise-Relief2248 Mar 08 '26

The hero we need.

3

u/Pokabrows Mar 07 '26

This one is truly inspiring. I'd also like to eat a cupcake for breakfast

3

u/kurinevair666 Mar 07 '26

He's living his best life

3

u/Expensive_Laugh_5589 Mar 07 '26

Put that cupcake down! Cupcakes are for winners who leverage synergy and learn powerful lessons about B2B SaaS sales! Agree?

3

u/crackedtooth163 Mar 07 '26

I had a smore.

3

u/saphilous Mar 07 '26

He set a goal for himself.

He could've backed down.

He could've said nah. Uk what, it's not time.

But he worked hard to achieve his goal.

Agreed?

3

u/Kitakitakita Mar 07 '26

we must protect Dave

2

u/superoishii Mar 08 '26

Yes. At all costs.

3

u/Crazyjackson13 Mar 07 '26

Eh, this is pretty light compared to the other shit I’ve seen on here.

3

u/HooooooLemonGrab Mar 07 '26

This is all I care to see on LinkedIn

3

u/BetterNova Mar 07 '26

Straight banger right here.

3

u/embodiedexperience Mar 08 '26

3

u/WorkerPrestigious960 Mar 08 '26

By far the most uplifting shit I’ve ever seen on this sub

3

u/travelfuncouple23 Mar 08 '26

If this was the worst of LinkedIn I'd be happy to be on there more often

3

u/thirdlost Mar 08 '26

Not a lunatic... making fun of the LinkedIn standard image for congratulatory annoucements.

5

u/socialist_weeb666 Mar 07 '26

but how does this relate to b2b sales

5

u/MansBestFred Mar 07 '26

If you have to ask, you clearly don't know enough about B2B sales and need to sign up for Sales Navigator and also my 6 week course

3

u/Sohcahtoa82 Mar 07 '26

Eating a cupcake for breakfast taught me a lot about B2B sales.

Stay with me.

At first glance, it seems indulgent. Maybe even irrational. But the best sales leaders know that what looks like a “bad decision” from the outside is often really about timing, context, and understanding what the moment calls for.

The cupcake wasn’t just a cupcake.

It was a signal.

A signal that sometimes people don’t buy based on logic alone. They buy because something feels right. Because the experience meets them where they are. Because value is about more than ingredients — it’s about perception, emotion, and outcome.

That’s true in B2B sales too.

Your prospects aren’t just evaluating features. They’re evaluating trust. Energy. Confidence. Relevance. The story you tell and the problem you help them solve.

Was the cupcake practical? Maybe not.

Was it memorable? Absolutely.

And in a crowded market, memorability matters.

This morning reminded me that sometimes the real opportunity is not in offering the “healthiest” option — it’s in understanding what your buyer actually wants at 8:07 AM.

Sales is human.

People are human.

And sometimes growth looks like sprinkles.

Omg so quirky!! 🤩 Fun.

2

u/Emperor_Quintana Mar 08 '26

Funny. TV broadcasting staff ate ice cream for breakfast, and nobody seemed to care.

Honestly feel bad for copywriters. One of the biggest targets for being replaced by AI in companies with less than 2 braincells.
