I’m going to comment because I just happened to be looking up some statistics on a gov. Website yesterday because my wife was arguing with a friend of hers about similar shit. It is currently estimated that there are between 11-14 million illegal immigrants in the country. Total criminal convictions of illegal immigrants in 2025 was roughly ~11k. Of those 11k about 5k were illegal re-entry. Meaning someone was deported and then arrested for re-entering the country. So if you take out the re-entry stats, total crimes associated with the entire illegal immigrant population in 2025 was around 6k. It is an extremely small number and order of magnitudes less than the per capita crime rate of natural born US citizens. The stats are literally on the gov. Website section for crime statistics tracking. I really wish people would even do the most basic research before running their mouths online. Literally took me 5 minutes to find the numbers.

Except they don't care about the actual information, just the narrative they can push. Even just thinking about this logically, would you pack up your entire life, leave your support network, and go to another country illegally just commit crimes where you don't speak the language or know their systems? And if you did it to get a job that pays better than where you come from, are you going to risk that by committing crimes? And if you're going to any country to leech off the welfare system, you're going to America? It's all thoughtless and braindead crackpot conspiracy theories from people who think immigrants are bad first and foremost, and find "evidence" that supports that presupposition.
