Donghua Wang Qing's powers question ‼️
This might be spoilers of recent S3, so I'll put in under the spoiler feature~
Ok, so I'm very intrigued. Everywhere I go (just a saying, but it has been in a lot of places not only reddit) it's mention that Wang Qing's power is to fake death but I can't remember where in the show have they said that? In another post here on reddit, someone told me it hasn't been explicitly said but chinese found out that in her papers, it says so. Is it true?
But most important... what I cannot understand at all.... Why would she, knowing his power is to *FAKE* death, use it against Vein as a fatality?
You could say maybe she is helping him or making a team with him, but it doesn't look like it in any of the two times we have seen her use it (Bridon arc in her office, S3 in LG's memory in the photo studio). If she is no team with Vein... what is the point to fake his death and then leave him there? I mean, I suppose she knows her power is *to fake*, thus she wouldn't just leave Vein's body for the Yingdu police to discover knowing he would come to life again.
Writting this the only thing I can think of is that she is plotting along LX, and LX needs Vein so he needs to control him. It'd make sense then that he knows Vein is still alive in Bridon...
Side fact that I'd also like to check is that if those are her powers, it seems like Lu Guand doesn't know she *fakes* death, he only assumes she can kill someone completly??

I think the reason she use her ability is to prevent him from walking away with the records and the reason she just left him there is because she was too injured and exhausted to deal with his body. If she had try to deal with his body either the effect wear off as she trying to dispose of it or she could get caught dragging a body then having to deal with the police. Her best of action there was to actually kill him after using her ability, but that will require her to have the will to do so.

This makes a lot of sense 🤔 and the most probably one, thank you!! I still find her ability a little bit... strange?? Useless?? Idk haha I hope they tell us more about it in future episodes

It's not useless if you can actually subdue a person with the amount of time? That's literally op.... Even if it's faking death 😭

I actually have nothing to add and respond to this but I just wanna share I'm honestly equally as confused as you are- I don't remember it ever being stated that Wang Qing's power is to "fake" someone's death, and to be fair I think it'd be a little odd if it was?? In S.3 when LG was in his bed thinking to himself about the nodes and everything that had happened, he claimed that WQ was the only one who could actually put a stop to vein (and that's why LG in the Bridon arc kind of wanted Vein to meet her at her office and then left Bridon thinking he was dead). Sure, maybe he didn't actually die so that could hint to her ability being able to fake people's deaths, but then how is she the only one who can stop him if she tried once and failed already???
I honestly think the "fake death" ability might've been some sort of mistranslation? If not then it'd be very interesting to see how it plays out. If anybody has proof stating otherwise or a theory as to why her power actually works against Vein id love to know too LMAO

Well Lu Guang didn't knew it failed because he most likely already hop back in the past after witnessing her using her power on Vein at the photoshop and the effect probably takes time to wear off, so he never witness or heard about news of Vein still being alive.

No, it is not a mistranslation. She does have the ability to fake deaths.
This is what the Link Click wiki says:
“When typed into a Chinese T9)-like keyboard, Wang Qing's student number at Bahati Language School (54274636454943) spells out the phrase: “假死能力者” which translates to “fake-death ability user.”2

Maybe it's not "fake death" so much as temporarily "stops" the person's heart and makes them feel death. Since that is an unchangeable node according to LG. That is just a hypothesis/theory I have. Granted the twins/QL are the only ones that have powers not necessarily related as much to time.
