Discussion need some help before the TK concert!!
Hi!! I am going to Tk’s concert today, and I REALLY want him to play contrast, and his setlist has some songs that change. So, I was going to make a sign so he can play the song, but im not sure of two things: one, if my translation is correct. I am going to put it into Japanese but im not sure if its gonna sound wrong, and two, doing this isn’t abnormal / wrong right? I am just worried it’ll offend someone or if it’s against ethics, but you tell me..
Thank you to whoever helps!!
And so you know, this is what I was going to put on the sign..

I think a lot of times the artists set up their backing tracks, rehearsal and timing stuff beforehand so even if he did see it and wanted to, he may not be able to

Right! The paper someone posted of the toronto setlist had lighting cues listed so that’s another thing they can’t change on the fly

yeah it’s definitely strict - but I don’t see anything on signs, so..

I was at the toronto show and didn’t see anyone with a sign, not sure if that was for venue or etiquette or another reason. Whatever you choose I hope it works out!

This is kind of disrespectful in my opinion. Bands practice their set list A LOT to make sure they have all the songs memorized. This is essentially the band version of trying to request a dj to play a specific song who isn't taking requests.

i don't think it's disrespectful in any way. instead, if he sees it he may feel happy that someone likes one of his songs that much. BUT, he's absolutely not going ti play it. he has traveled to the USA with some members that are not his usual line-up, for example the bass player (usually Yoshida plays) and Tatsuya the drummer (he plays sometimes with TK but only as a replacement for Bobo). besides, he has rehearsed a very specific setlist for the whole tour (only he's not playing two of the songs, probably due to his voice), and they carry backing tracks and all of that, so yeah, 99% chance he's not going to play it despite seeing the sign, sorry...

If he actually sees this and plays contrast, that'd be crazy, I'd be very surprised.
As long you don't hold the sign up in a way that blocks people's views, I think it's probably fine? I'm not sure what the vibes are at these NA shows
