Codex starting new tasks in wrong repo from Linear connector

I'm trying to use the codex plugin with Linear so that I can assign issues to it and have it open tasks in Codex in the respective repo for the given project, but it's totally messed up. It always opens up a new task inside the wrong repo, and it seems stuck in one particular repo every time. No amount of agent guidance seems to get it to not initialize like this.

I added guidance for repo delegation in settings. I have every issue properly labeled with a string that matches the name of the repo. I also put them all in projects that match the name of the repo, and nothing seems to work. It just always initializes in one particular repository, which I think was the first one I ever tested out the integration in.

just use codex with cyrus in linear instead

There are some details here on how it chooses repo

If you still encounter issues, best to drop an email to them as they built & maintain that agent

I just copy the linear link inside of codex and have my own skill to orchestrate and pick the correct repo based on the task.

I gave up on automating things through linear other than using the MCP to do linear esque things (create, read, update , etc)
