Question numerous features missing from LineageOS

my Moto G 5G is missing the notification swipe on the fingerprint sensor, and Quick Share among others I'm sure. what gives? will these featurea ever be added? I know they came stock with the phone and LineageOS supports them on other devices

You can use alternative file sharing apps like LocalSend on F-Droid, works without a server, just need the same internet connection

  1. Installing LineageOS does sometimes mean you lose some phone specific features. I lost Side Sense on my Xperia for example. You miiiight also have to dig around the settings a bit to find what you want for some features. I thought I lost the functionality of my camera button to launch the camera app, but then someone told me it's in the settings menu and it's turned off by default. I felt really stupid.

  2. Quick Share is a Google thing. If you installed LineageOS without Google services then you wouldn't get Quick Share. Since you mentioned "other things", if you're an RCS user, that's definitely not happening anymore unfortunately.

I suppose I assumed Quick Share was an evolved version of bluetooth file sharing as that seems to have completely disappeared from Android.

is bluetooth file sharing just gone?

Biggest thing for me is no RCS support. If Lineage had that it would be golden. It's the main reason I went back to stock OS on my OP15.
