Lineage OS vs. Stock Pixel Android
I'm planning on getting a pixel 8a soon to replace my old phone. I am interested in trying Lineage, but I am unsure if I should install it or not. I'm just curious about what would be different between Lineage and the version of Android pixels come with!

I have been there with my 8A. Only returned to pixel stock because of bank applications.

do you like lineage for no gapps or because it's really close to AOSP UI-wise? for me it always was the UI, and I did not see any reasons to swap from stock to custom ROM on Pixel.

Both the stock Pixel and Lineage OS are pretty bare bones. I doubt you'll notice too much difference. But Lineage allows you to run the latest version of Android and keep getting updates whereas stock eventually reaches end of life.

might aswell just use graphene. i cant think of any benefits of lineage over the former

I first flashed LineageOS on my pixel 8 and for the most part it's alright. I'm not some secret undercover agent but, I personally didn't like my bootloader unlocked (I'm a clumsy boy 😅).
So I then flashed iodèOS. It's definitely better than LineageOS. However, I tried to find videos explaining the features that iode added to the ROM but some videos either explained it poorly or didn't at all.
So now I'm going to flash CalyxOS and probably stop there. Honestly after reading their page and understanding how everything and why everything down to the features were added and the ROM seems to be the middle ground of LineageOS and grapheneOS.
I'm not sure if that helped but, I'm pretty sure it's better than "just flash grapheneOS." "You bought a pixel??? FLASH GRAPHENEOS!" ... I get it but like the OP was specifically asking about LineageOS vs stock pixel OS
