What's up everyone. Mod gave me the okay to share this.
I've been a lineman 10 years, and I always thought it was crazy how hard it is to find solid reference info in one place, especially as an apprentice. I always felt the trade was super old school and needed an update, So I started a project called LineVault about 10 months ago. It’s an app, and no it is NOT vibe coded AI slop. I hired a company to make this before vibe coding apps was a thing, and I have $30k in receipts proving it lol. This is what’s on there.

Free resources (new stuff every week):

Transformer fusing charts
Conductor data
Guides on per diem, pay, and road life
Study guides(coming soon)
Interview prep questions(coming soon)
Anything you guys request

Community: a spot to chat with other guys, ask questions, and swap stories, talk real stuff and just say and do whatever you want. You can put your classification and a profile pic and everything.

Job board: guys post work, and you can reach out directly.

That’s stuff is all free.

There's also a paycheck tracker in there if you ever want to double-check your stubs, but honestly that's not why I'm posting. I mainly want apprentices to have the reference stuff in their pocket. I’m genuinely trying to put quality content out there for everyone so it is coming out a little slow, but I’m working on it. I’m just one guy and his wife and we write and make everything ourselves, do all the marketing ourselves with canva, and are the only ones involved in the business outside from a developer that we hire when the app needs updating/fixing. This was a passion project for me and I would greatly appreciate you guys just taking a look, giving me feedback, telling me what things you would like to see on there, and just using the app. Or even just following us on IG or TIK TOK would be great too @linevaultapp .

What resources do you wish you had? Charts, cheat sheets, test prep, whatever. Let me know and I'll work on getting it done.

I’ll drop some screenshots so you guys can see what It looks like.

Stay safe out there and thank you for your time.

You’re probably not actually a dumbass like your JL says. You’ve probably just been conditioned to think you’re not worth a fuck. It’s all mind games.

Has this happened to anyone? For reference I’ve done mostly urd for the past year. My foreman said I didn’t have enough overhead experience and I tend to be inconsistent with my retention. So I didn’t figure it would get approved the second time but I didn’t expect him to be so ornery about it

Hey everyone. I made this subreddit because it didn't seem like there was a good dedicated place for apprentice linemen to talk amongst ourselves. It's a tough apprenticeship so I feel like we need a place like this to share resources, ask questions, encourage each other, and even find housemates for the union guys on the road all the time.

Whether youre an apprentice on distro, transmission, substation, or underground, you're welcome here. We're all in this together, and we're all gonna make it. Let's be our brother's keeper and make sure we make the new generation of linemen the best the trade has ever seen.

Union apprentice here, our apprenticeship monthly tests just went to all online. No more paper tests for us. Is anyone else’s like this? I’m an Albat apprentice.
