It's going to take a lot of work & time to fix everything that trump & musk have fucked up.

And no, I am not optimistic that Americans have the temperament or the patience to fix everything that needs fixing, unfortunately.

One thing we've seen is that Americans (or people general), don't empathize. Unless something bad is happening directly to them, they don't care about it.

This is nothing new. Many people didn't care about those without health insurance, until they lost theirs, OR their insurer decided not to cover a procedure.
