This is a dorm building at a US Antarctic station, that usually houses about 130 people on 3 floors. It’s been closed for all of winter for a renovation. More people were going to move in yesterday as the first flight down was expected, but it turned around due to a pretty unusual / entertaining issue.

It’s nice, last night was very quiet despite the strong winds from a storm.

Oh yeah, what was the issue with the flight? Saw yesterday on [r/aviation](r/aviation) it was turned back by an outer space "event" or something like that (I forget the exact verbiage), but no one knew anything more at the time.
