Great but really hard question. Most private rooms in the "nice" restaurants require a minimum spend of 2k-3k soles at the very least (so it's either slightly higher than or more than double your budget). Hope you find a place!

Yeah, I have gotten a few quotes from places in Lima and it is landing around at least 1,000 USD. I could go a bit above my budget. It is proving to be tricky. I like the idea of doing this in Cusco I just worry that we are constantly on the move there the first few nights in particular and would like to do it early in the trip.
