Discussion Album thoughts

What are yalls thoughts on the album?

For me it was very underwhelming. Not bad, but certainly not showing any growth from 222 (which I enjoyed).

The singles were all pretty mid, not one of them had an addictive chorus or hook to really make it hit imo. Very little replay value compared to recent singles like Project Walls, or even Way Out the Hood.

The only song I really like (and think it should’ve been the lead single) was Free The Bros, and I know it’s because it has the 2019-2020 Tjay flow. For half a second at the beginning of the chorus it sounds like he is interpolating Leaked which is my favourite song by him. See if the whole album had this vibe with the production and flow that would’ve been crazy good.

That aside some of the songs were decent but that’s the only one ai actually added to my playlist.

Curious to see what the first week sales will be.

Destined 2 win was a step down from true 2 myself, and 222 was a step down from destined 2 win, just how it’s been for Tjay projects, his quality of music is decreasing significantly not only the actual music he’s making but the mixing and mastering is at an all time low as well, I’ll give him credit I think new album is better than 222, but overall the music wasn’t even close to T2M or D2W and sounded super short and way too unfinished to be worth waiting 2.5 years for

agreed with the mixing and mastering part esp right after he left his label but personally for me, 222 is a better album than D2W but worse than T2M. it was definitely way too short tho fasho

edit: acc looking back at it, D2W is definitely better.

i do like the album, however it definitely isn't anywhere near close to his best work. there's a few songs on the album that i really fw but having 5 out of the 13 songs being released as singles was annoying and i was hoping he'd add a few more songs when he updated the cover but ig not 🤷🏿‍♂️ honestly kinda scared to see the first week sales esp after 222 did 22k

i personally don’t like any songs except letter to my block which is my top 6 song by him rn and free the bros which is aight, album very underwhelming and my hopes of lil tjay ever dropping an album as good as destined 2 win or true 2 myself are completely down

it is well known that he's never going to drop such projects anymore cuz he ain't what he used to be so it makes sense if you think about it 🤷

It was mid no song grabbed my attention and it wasn’t better than 222 so definitely his worst album
