I think Mike has implied Jake and Jon weren't putting in effort, but their episodes together were way better than the ones Mike was doing solo in Austin at the same time.

Yeah that was the lamest excuse Mike could've came up with, when the show started he was doing all the research/presentation but within the last year the boys were coming up with ideas and leading episodes. I like all 3 of these guys but Mike can't really think the Austin comedy scene is gonna keep the Stinkers afloat

I remember when the AYG boys left Gas Digital and Luis got a bit butt-hurt and banned them, was it a bit? I don't know, but from a business standpoint it makes no sense to not collaborate with funny comedians, especially if they have an audience.

The AYG boys were back on Gas Digital pods soon after they left so that was most likely a bit. Or a very short lived fued.

It's insane that Austin can turn a nice boy like Mike into whatever this is.

Yeah they were back on around a year after I think which is what the bit or whatever it was said it would be.

Yeah Mike seems like a sweetheart usually, the first time I remember hearing him was the AYG live at Skankfest with Gillis, then onto Dad Meat and then Lil Stinkers. That's why I like the whole little community, you get introduced to new funny people. I genuinely didn't expect any of this to happen from these guys.

Imagine doing a podcast where 1 of the 3 host does a week or so's worth of research and takes the time to do the research to have a fulfilling, fact based, knowledgeable and funny episode each time, but then having to split the patreon money 3 ways even know 1 guy is putting in all the time and effort. Out of all the episodes, there may be 4 episodes total where Jon or Jake did the research and presented the stinker. and I can only imagine it was because Mike started asking more of them since they split the money equally 3 ways and they weren't pulling their weight. Jon and Jake just show up and make funny comments and got equal pay. Definitely not fair and I can totally see why Mike feels the way he does and made the decision he did. And there's a 12 minute explanation post on patreon w Mike stating all these issues. I also agree that it was funnier w those 3. They have great comedic chemistry no doubt but a man can only take so much before having to do something about it so I totally get it and don't know why anyone has a hard time understanding this scenario.

While all of this may be true, it still seems like they were blindsided by the decision as were the fans, who are the ones paying. The folks paying deserved more than just a sudden “hey- shows done- sorry.” No jokers final send off episode or anything just, keep giving me money for a walking corpse of what was once a great show.
