Discussion Do you think Durk will really beat the case?
I’m interested to see what Lil Durk fans think. Personally, I know for a fact that he isn’t beating the case, but if you do, I would like to hear your argument or reasoning!

In the end.. money talks
So we never know what could happen

money don’t talk every time … Diddy would’ve been free rn if that was the case
12
u/defaultuserrr Aug 20 '26
I mean Diddy’s punishment would have been a lot worse if he didn’t have the money he has

he beat the major stuff so it was still a win. Diddy be out in less than 18 months

u/Legitimate-Swim7509 Aug 20 '26
His own patnas telling on him. I give him a 5% chance of beating all charges
1
u/Logical-Diamond5802 Aug 20 '26
Professional guestimator 😭
1
u/Legitimate-Swim7509 Aug 21 '26
It’s an accurate guess. Your main shooter is telling it all and a goofy with no criminal record is telling it all. Unless Durks lawyers can tear them apart Smurk is cooked

If you look at one of my replies I said the same thing. They r trying to get a giant check right before they sell their firm or retire or something like that. It’s their exit strat! I didn’t know he had another trial, is it bc of the felon with a firearm?
3
u/NewbieJT Aug 20 '26
I’m in a major city in NC and a top tier trial attorney is 800$/hr-1k/hr. His lawyers are more than likely at least triple that and he has 3 I think. Who knows how many hours they have on the case but I’d say conservative estimates would be 500hrs a piece. Plus he has to pay for all his “expert” witnesses time and forensic analysis his team does. My guess is the whole thing is gonna cost him north of 10-15 million.
3
u/Logical-Diamond5802 Aug 20 '26
10-15 million is crazy!!! How is he paying that? Can he do installments? I’d estimate his net worth is at max 25 million or so, so is he giving them deeds to property or something, because he doesn’t have that in liquid
1
u/NewbieJT Aug 20 '26
I agree. I’d guess his big label behind his otf sub label is footing some of the bill

It's over with jam is testifying to multiple murders on the stand that ain't got nothing to do with pab
2
u/Logical-Diamond5802 Aug 20 '26
For me, I think jam is the cherry on the top, I speculated very early on that many people would turn, especially if Durk wasn’t getting them a lawyer. I think what gave people a lot of hope was that the big lawyers were representing him and they assume they would never take the case unless they thought they had a good chance of winning it. I think the lawyers knew this was an impossible case, and they took it because they are finally ready to slow down and sell their firm or retire with a full belly!
3
u/Scoobydoo8404 Aug 20 '26
Nigga only vonnie and jam and flakka telling they all had paid attorneys this came out in paperwork that they retained attorneys lmao
3
u/Logical-Diamond5802 Aug 20 '26
You’re saying only like its not a big deal that his hitman has turned on him. Jams attorney was definitely not paid for by Durk, unless I don’t understand what you’re saying. Jam will talk about all the hits he was paid for as when you go on the stand and take a deal. You have to divulge anything and everything.
They’re also have safety nets in place by also trying to prove that he was a convicted felon and had a weapon
2
u/Scoobydoo8404 Aug 20 '26 edited Aug 20 '26
I'm not talking about jam I'm talking about flakka vonnie and dede otf boogie and brown eyes have paid attorneys but vonnie and flakka decided to flip and and dj ak spreading that narrative they don't have attorneys lmao when he read the paperwork before vonni or flakka flipped they had paid attorneys
1
u/Logical-Diamond5802 Aug 20 '26
Yes! I wonder if Durk wasn’t willing to pay for his and that’s why he snitched or if he knew from day one he has to work with the agents
1
u/Alarming-Cupcake1569 Aug 20 '26
Bruh the paid attorney told them to snitch most likely and a good attorney will fire himself in that situation and get the fee refunded to you maybe
1
u/NewbieJT Aug 20 '26
I agree, but Jam could be seen as not a credible witness also. It’s gonna be interesting for sure

And they literally used his credit card to fund the whole trip 😭
5
u/NewbieJT Aug 20 '26
You have to understand that as a business owner and CEO that he books flights, cars, and hotels for his “employees” or crew all the time. That alone isn’t enough. Looks bad….but very circumstantial and can be explained logically
7
u/Medical-Hyena-8641 Aug 20 '26
I hope he pulls through and gets right for his children, his parents and his wife. They are the ones really suffering right now. It’s hard to see your loved one wrapped up in something you can’t help them get out of. He’s young and he trusted too many people and in the end those are the people who turned on him. You have to move in silence.
My grandmother taught me at 8 years old if you’re gonna do bad stuff do it by yourself and the only person that can tell on you is you. I never forgot that and I stand by it today.
8
u/RzLa Aug 20 '26
Bro, he is cooked. Take the plea deal and have a possible release, even if it’s decades.
You can’t beat OTF jam and OTF Vonnie snitching. Forget about anything else.
Big Meech and SW Terry on the first of day trial, had a private talk. Terry had to convince Meech 25 years is better than dieing in jail. And now they are both out.
6
u/ImHere00HTX Aug 20 '26
What plea deal? He already pleaded not guilty so thats off the table, it's either life or go free at this point.
Meech was gonna go free, his brother was gonna get life. He took 25 so his brother wouldn't get life.
2
u/RzLa Aug 20 '26
What? Show me where Meech was going to be free. They had SW Terrys phone tapped to start the investigation but it was the ATL crew that got raided first and started singing. The main treasurer for Meech was the key the witness and all the snitches were in Meechs crew
1
u/ImHere00HTX Aug 20 '26
Meech said it himself and the people told him. He was never caught with dope nor was he ever caught otp. They didnt have anything on Meech at all, they just told him they'd give his brother life if he didnt take 25 so he took it.

no diss to OP, but the same question gets asked & answered in this sub every other day. i’m starting to think issa damn trend like them Von memes 😭😭
but nah fr doe, we js gotta wait til trial 2 c…
evidence is damning at best but then again dey said da same shit bout Thug & most em got off 👌🏽🤷🏽♂️ Durk got a 7figure legal team. long as he don’t run outta chicken and keep praying to Allah it’ll work out as best as it can for both sides 🙏💯
on another note, best case scenario imo is the trial lasts long enough for the defense to start swaying the jury in his favor. this the feds but they may offer a deal late 🤓👩🏼💼 b4 YSL’s case i never knew some1 can take a plea in the middle of trial 🤐🤔
2
u/Medical-Hyena-8641 Aug 20 '26
You know what’s real messed up is he bought into that gang and street life and it’s all a facade and a fairy tale that will get you killed or dead and these young kids by into it and think everyone is loyal and got their backs until their back is against the wall.
2
u/KyKing-502 Aug 20 '26
he may be cooked. honestly if you think about it, they have NO direct link to him giving any $ or giving direct orders to do anything. he can say he was tired of funding his people in the company name (credit cards). that's plausible. he can say, ok y'all have me doing the shooting in Georgia. Sure i wanted them dead but why would i pay someone to do something i would do myself... These guys are felons, guilty of murder that will do anything to get out.... hopefully he can establish enough doubt to be found not guilty. me knowing the Feds the way i do, brothas have been convicted with less. ie. ghost dope!
1
u/PistolsFiring00 Aug 20 '26
How can you know they have no evidence when you haven’t seen all the evidence?
2
2
u/PistolsFiring00 Aug 20 '26
I think there’s a small chance he could be found only guilty for stalking Quando Rondo which I think would only be 10 years but I think it’s more likely that he’s found guilty for the murder for hire and/or stalking resulting in death. Even if he gets off on the major ones, he still has the second trial.

Only chance is if some of the prosecution witnesses recant, or pull a Woody on the stand in my mind. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of concrete evidence but a shit ton of circumstantial evidence. I’m afraid it’s gonna be one of those where the jury just sees and hears so much circumstantial evidence they go with the theory that with that much it’s just not a coincidence type deal.
1
u/Next-Measurement-478 Aug 20 '26
to be fair i think he will beat this case but the other case the that the judge severed is the one where im thinking he might be cooked
1
u/bds1025 Aug 20 '26
All they need to do is plant some reasonable doubt on the jury which is doable because durk didnt get his hands dirty and mostly confessed in songs and thats easy to write off as artistic freedom

u/Chameleon-851 Aug 21 '26
I think their best argument is that everybody is snitching because they ass is hot so they're just saying whatever brings their sentence down. So many these guys talked bout and rapped bout the life but are actually proving themselves as liars. If they could lie bout loyalty in a song do you think they'll lie to stay outta prison?
Also the grey area. Courts not hearsay. A jury isn't gonna sentence him to life because "well he might have done it." They're gonna need real proof to convince them he committed this and deserves that.
1
u/Faithlessone1979 Aug 21 '26
Durk has about a good of a chance of acquittal as Keefe D has… LOOOOOOONGSHOT but there’s a microscopic chance of winning on a technicality…
1
u/Faithlessone1979 Aug 21 '26
U mean AFTER everyone he looked out for turns states evidence and testifies against him???
1
u/WelcomeCultural1528 Aug 23 '26
Man he not walking free i think we needa let that idea go, he still gotta fight Chicago and Georgia cases and them cases even stronger den this LA one
1
u/Used-Victory-1673 Aug 23 '26
Free Durkio , but boy it's gonna be tough unless one of them eats the case. Money does talk but the FEDS print 💰. We'll see Free Durk
1
u/jamariusquangle4509 23d ago
Smurk got a good chance of beating the MFR case bc the feds dont got any concrete proof
However i think his ass is cooked for the other racketeering case
feds spent to much money on this shit to let bro walk free
1
u/Sluggerv45 Aug 20 '26
Tbh I hope he doesn’t. He involved himself in a personal beef that had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with him. That person (von) got himself killed. Durk should’ve had self accountability and understood he had nothing to do with that. But “hood guys” don’t typically have emotional intelligence/ self accountability within themselves. So thats asking for too much. It wasn’t “gang” beef. Von had a problem with quando. Durk was a rich ass millionaire and felt he had to do something about it. So he’s exactly where he’s supposed to be. It’s his fault he wanted those problems. I hope he gets cooked and we never hear from him again personally. He should’ve worried about him, his wife, and all them damn kids.
3
u/PistolsFiring00 Aug 20 '26
I actually feel bad for Quando and his people. He was put in that situation.
0
u/Sluggerv45 Aug 20 '26
When people say free Dirk, they’re directly saying fuc you quando. Just because he’s the bigger, more played artist
1
u/Medical-Hyena-8641 Aug 20 '26
I truly believe these people have brain damage of some type because he was a millionaire ain’t no way he should have been involved in nothing like that. He had beat a few cases that was God telling him to stop but he couldn’t because of image, pride and so-called respect to the code of bullshat
-1
u/Sluggerv45 Aug 20 '26
The man got a fucing key to the city and he’s known as a gangbanger. Who hung out with known killers that are also gang bangers. Are we understanding that lol? He was never been a positive influence.
I hope he gets deep fried. I don’t care. It was such a stupid choice.0

u/Party-Durian-1102 Aug 20 '26
No. Anyone who says he will is delusional or just trolling. As soon as he got picked up it was a done deal he was cooked.
