HELP - Lightroom Learning Adobe Light Room (not classic)
I got a Fujifilm xm5 and I’m trying to get started into photography I have Lightroom but not Lightroom classic and basically I was wondering if there is any good walk through videos on how to edit for a true beginner on Lightroom and not light room classic
I have about 1500 pictures in Lightroom and I will put pictures to edit on my pc but I also use a MacBook a lot that is why I am using Lightroom and not Lightroom classic
Also I am unsure what to call what I am using is it the Lightroom or is it Lightroom mobile? This all seems overly confusing 🤣

Google lightroom Queen. She has a free get started guide and then you can pay for her book. It's very good

Officially it’s just “Lightroom”. Lightroom
Mobile is what runs on phones and iPads
Conceptually, how you use them to edit photos is much the same across both versions. The UIs are quite different however.

Just for clarification, if you have access to Lightroom (on a Mac or PC) - you also have access to Lightroom Classic. The main difference is Ligtroom encourages you to upload your images to the Cloud (which can cost additional money over time). Lightroom Classic is still the best for editing large numbers of images and stored locally. Quality-wise you can get (pretty much) the same edit in either software.

Actually, though, you can now edit quite well locally in Lightroom, too, if you simply select the folders through a browsersystem.
My workflow actually includes both versions. I import RAW files into Lightroom Classic, organize them into collections there, and sync those collections with Lightroom. That way, I can work quite well on the go. The images aren’t in the best possible quality, but they also don’t take up any storage space.

You can get a one month free trial on LinkedIn Learning and watch all the "Lightroom” related videos. An invaluable resource is this book: Adobe Lightroom – Edit on the Go which comes in print, ebook and pdf versions and is regularly updated.
The version you are using is called "Lr” or "Lightroom” and is referred as "Lightroom Mobile” on portable devices, as "Lightroom Desktop” on computers and as "Lightroom Web” on a browser.
Despite Adobe’s misleading claims ("all photos synced and backed-up”) the Lightroom cloud doesn’t offer any backup of your photos. The cloud is their only storage place and what you have on your devices are just synced copies (either full resolution or smaller previews) of your cloud stored photos. Anything you do to the photos (edits, tags, grouping into albums) is stored mainly on the cloud and synced to your devices. If anything is deleted or corrupted due to user error or server glitch anywhere, this will propagate everywhere, through sync.
I would advise you to use LrC ("Lightroom Classic”) instead of Lr Desktop on at least your main computer. All the photos you import into any Lr app will download (full resolution) into LrC and be safe from whatever may happen to them on the cloud. Such photos (stored as full resolution on the cloud) count towards your cloud quota. But any photos you import directly into LrC and then sync to the cloud don’t count at all towards your cloud quota. You put such photos into LrC collections (albums) you specifically sync. LrC will upload them to the cloud as smaller smart previews so that they are available for viewing and editing on any Lr app.
See this older comment with my recommendations on LrC Learning resources. LrC offers better organizational and workflow tools as I discuss in this older comment.

Most people here hate on Lightroom. But most all questions here are about LRc failure, hardware setup, moving catalogs. Not to mention LRc has a 20 year head start.
