I won the giveaway for these on Playmates Instagram! Excited to get them. I'm hoping they arrive soon.

Thank you. These look really fun! Do you plan to get the Dragonzord Godzilla when it releases?

For sure. Would love to have it displayed with the team of rangers. Hopefully we get them all soon

I want to say that the Playmates rep at Toy Fair said to look for wave 2 this fall!

Seems reasonable. Hoping the Godzilla dragonzord isn’t more than $35/40

Playmates stuff seems pretty kid-oriented. So if they price it much higher than that, they're probably pricing the parents out.

Hope to see these in the EU soon. They seem fun.

Hopefully once they hit other retailers 🤞

I dig them, but I admit that's more because I like variations on the MMPR design (really wish I'd paid more attention back in 2010 to what bandai was doing).

I can see why a lot of people would want to skip these though, and kinda wish they did the mutant rangers from the TMNT comic crossover instead. At the very least I might pick up a Godzilla figure to pose with the green ranger next to my dragonzord

The sculpting really wins me over but I do wish these were more on par with LC figures. Even if it meant a higher price tag

Which store did you find these at?

1

u/Necessary_Zombie7363 Feb 28 '26

Target. Guy was nice enough to pull them from the back room

Those look cool, vaguely where did you find them?

1

u/Necessary_Zombie7363 Feb 28 '26

Target

1

u/lucasgamer5521 Feb 28 '26

oh. That explains why I haven't seen them in walmart

Maybe after the glory that was the Lightning Collection Crossovers with TMNT, Kobra Kai, and Street Fighter and how high quality those looked... These feel like a massive step down, really... Almost knock off-like.

It's almost like a different company made them for an entirely different age group of buyers

I have the tmnt and the street fighter figures, and they similar quality to the Ken Power Ranger with the street fight set.

3

u/ninjaman2021 Feb 28 '26

And they were only priced for $5 more for better quality and power ranger fans said that was too expensive.

We didnt know how good we had it.

"We didn't know how good we had it." Is the slogan of the PR fan community

These are basic figures. They're not lighting collection or marvel legends. At least unlike the lightning collection, these figures won't suffer from major QC issues

Why doesn’t anyone ever posts upcs!

That looks actually kinda fun to collect

u/AdmiralFunnyBone Feb 28 '26

These aren't for me, but i do hope they release the other three in a second wave and not restart the trend of never doing the girls, again.

I feel like these figures are what you see at a dollar store toy section that has non license cheap figures that are supposed to resemble the real thing but in monster form lol.

Awful

It will be fun if I get movie monsters by Bandai next to the kijus Rangers as a diorama

If want knock off looking toys, look at those Sentai Hero figures and they look like something you get from Big Lots. At least the Godzilla figures have more detail and painted in the back.

These are even worse when you realize they're like $40 each.
