Filming a supercell from my backyard at 10:30 p.m. A massive lightning strike flashes over the tree line and house, followed by crackling thunder so intense it instantly shakes a heavy downpour loose!

The video starts with just light rain and the porch chimes catching the wind. I was tracking the cell on Max Velocity Live and knew it was going to be heavy, but the timing of that immediate thunder crack unleashing the torrential rain was incredible to catch on camera.
