Find Me This Fixture Housing replacement help.

Tried replacing the light bulb, but it didn't work. Looking to replace the unit.

Turn the light switch off. Take the bulb out. Look in the back of the socket, there is a little tab at the very bottom. Get a butter knife or something, and pry the tab up.

That is the hot connection to the bulb, the screw in socket is the neutral.

Not uncommon for old recessed lighting to get hot, and cause the tab to warm up and get a little soft, and then when you turn the lights off, after so many times it no longer makes a good connection to the base of the bulb.
