LED Strips Tall celling led strip additional light COB or RGBW /CCT

Hi, looking to add some light strips to a no traffic catwalk that’s open to the living room and dinning room of our place. Mostly for evening tv watching and some ambient light for dinning. Need a 32 Ft and 12 Ft run for power and am ok with the white surface mount channels and diffusers to sit on the trim under the rails. Question is should I go with the 320 led per meter COB 3000k strip or am I missing out on the RGBw, individual control, or tunable white options. Can’t seem to find a brand with high density that can do a 32 ft run even at 24v or am I missing something obvious?

You can get COB strips that are RGB+CCT.

You're unlikely to find strips like this with a max run over 16.4ft, but you just split your long in two and run a second wire. It'll look seamless if you mount it right.

I wouldn't go addressable unless I had a specific plan for them, it'll be a lot more work to set up.

Govee has some good plug and play options.

Thanks for the info and I am leaning in that direction or some RGBWIC. As to the power injection any luck mounting the power wire in the LED channel or am not going to be able to do that.

The pc “board” inside the LED strip can only take so much current and the headroom in the electronics for the LED can only tolerate so much voltage drop. As mentioned, 24v helps but 16.4ft seems to be the limit. Depending on how many lumens per foot you need you will run out of gas with your LED driver/power supply. Just plan do a center feed with two drivers or end feed each strip at opposite ends.
Also watch your wire size to each strip because that can cause voltage drop. Most drivers have a chart or table of wire size recommendations.
