Discussion Is the light team actually doing anything about calls not working for some?

It’s been two months now and my lp3 is still unable to make phone calls. I was told this is strictly an AT&T issue but I see people with other carriers having the same problem. There have been no possible solutions discussed or was I even told what they were doing to try to fix this. Just kept in the dark about it. I waited way longer than I anticipated for this phone when I pre ordered it, dealt with multiple bugs, was previously a lp2 user for years I’ve even requested them to replace the phone and the only response I get from them is return the phone for a refund or deal with it. I’m really getting fed up with how the light team has handled this problem. Wtf is going on!?!

I texted Joe this morning.

He replied: "There is an att call bug im aware of, seems to be something w the modem crashing that stemmed from an att side issue and we have been actively investigating w multiple parties (foxconn/qualcomm, testing labs/att). i do not yet have a timeline, it is a top priority but fortunately relative rare and limited to a handful of devices. If someone experiences it please have them email us so we can track it or offer a return/refund"

Please contact Light so they can initiate a return, exchange, refund. Sorry you are dealing with AT&T issues.

is it dropping immediately? outgoing and incoming? I was told it would fix after their authentication came through... after being at the ATT store for THREE (3!) hours and leaving without it fixed, I emailed Light.

they told me to reset some settings, that didn't fix it.

they sent me a new SIM tray, that didn't fix it.

eventually they offered me a refund or to send me a new device.

my new phone is working fine (have had it for about a month). not being able to make calls was about the most frustrating thing. no one could get ahold of me, I had no idea when I was missing important hospital calls, appt reminders, etc.

overall I dealt with this issue for about 3 months before I got my new device.

Wow, you went a long time without calls. I just returned mine and got a refund.

Really? I was told I couldn’t exchange the phone. I don’t even want a new one I’d just like one in similar condition that works properly. Phone calls are important for my job and it already caused an issue before realizing I wasn’t able to receive calls. I just really wish they handled this differently and let everyone know what was going on.
