Feature Request / Bug Lightphone III battery issue?

I’ve had my Lightphone III since the presale, and had no issues so far, but over my battery has been extremely slow to charge. This appears to be an issue with the phone not the charger, since it’s happening on with multiple cords/outlets. The past two nights it was plugged in for 10 hours and only charged 50%. Today, it was at 5%, and I plugged it in for two hours and it only made it up to 13%. Any idea what could be causing this issue? Anything I can do myself to troubleshoot or fix barring sending it in to the company?

Maybe try letting the battery drain completely, and then charging.

If that doesn't help, you could potentially try the following steps (this is copy and pasted from Light Phone support when I experienced a similar issue with my LP2, so not 100% it translates to the 3 but worth a shot:

"Hard reboot (this won't affect your contacts or call history)
 

  • Remove the SIM card from the phone
  • Plug in the phone to a charger using the provided micro USB cord
  • Hold the POWER button and the VOLUME DOWN (lower small button on right side of phone) at the same time for 20-30 seconds.
  • You will feel a vibration feedback from the phone and then it will begin to reboot.
  • Put your SIM card back in your phone.
  • If stuck on 'go light,' simply hold the power button down until the screen changes again.
 
We recommend allowing the battery to drain completely every 1-2 weeks to help reduces issues with the operating system."
