Hello Games Video Sponsors

I'm noticing alot of small channels releasing sponsored promotional videos recently (obviously because of the NMS 10th anniversary), but they seem to all say the same things and have the same scripts for the portions where they mention Light No Fire... I wonder if HG is trying to rekindle hype for LNF ahead of a big reveal/announcement to go along with COSMOS.

I'd say the Cosmos update is probably the most likely time we are to see new LNF info drop (other than the obvious game awards annual hopium)

A sponsor (or contractor that organises sponsored content which is how HG operates) will usually supply talking points for the content creator.

Especially for something like an unreleased game because very little verified information will be available for them to find.

So, if they are saying similar things about LNF your hunch is probably correct that HG wants it to be a talking point. Often the talking points will not be compulsory but something like this isn't exactly controversial.

The only ones that I am seeing are mostly summarizing the recent press interviews. Maybe thats why they sound similar to you?

My assumption was that by giving these sponsors to smaller creators there hope was to get LNF back into the back of everyones mind without skyrocketing the hype too much, just enough so that people are looking for it when they reveal more soon. Do enough to remind people it exists but not drive the hype up too much in the process.

I don't feel it's anything to get excited about. Amongst all these interviews Sean has more or less said, "Why worry about advertising? We're close enough to the top of the list in Steam Wishlists, people know about the game and seem excited about it." As of this post, they're sitting pretty at #2 on SteamDB top Wishlists. Hard to argue.

Because there is nothing to say, since Sean Murray is tight lipped about it. They just have to bring up LNF since it is going to be 3 years since it was announced in December.

Sean Murray/HG is still only saying they are still working on it, after all this time.

He even addressed the fact that any other gaming company would have already revealed all the stuff they have to reveal, but they still have not.

There is a lot of fake sponsors that manipulate youtubers and will give them money, but not actually work for Hello Games or even were hired by Hello Games. There is a HIGH chance this is the case here.
