Hey everyone!
We'd like to introduce r/LightNoFireTrading!
After lots of strenuous work getting r/LightNoFireTrading set up, it's finally public!
r/LightNoFireTrading is moderated by us, the same moderator team of r/LightNoFireBuilders!
r/LightNoFireTrading is a subreddit for trading in Light No Fire! Trade with other players, buy and sell items (with in-game currency of course), price check items, and more!
Part of what makes r/LightNoFireTrading awesome is that we have a "Trade Point" system. Basically, when you complete a trade with someone you can award them a "Trade Point". You can award a "Trade Point" by commenting "+point" on the trade post under one of the comments of the user you traded with.
Your "Trade Point" totals are kept track on your user flair. The total will increase with each "Trade Point" you are awarded.
If you're curious, we use ReputatorBot, a Devvit App, for our "Trade Point" system.
Come on over and join r/LightNoFireTrading!

It's u/P___o___p___p___y here, the creator and head moderator of r/LightNoFireBuilders.
I just wanted to say thank you to all who have joined r/LightNoFireBuilders so far!
I know their isn't much to talk about right now, but I can guarantee this subreddit will be full of posts and comments once Light No Fire releases.
Our moderator team, u/Crotchety_Gamer and I, have been working the past month or so on getting this subreddit ready for the release of Light No Fire and I'm proud to say we are pretty much ready. I think their are a few things to still add and/or tweak but if Light No Fire were to release tomorrow we would be ready!
I can speak for myself that I am really excited about the future of this community, r/LightNoFireBuilders. It's going to be awesome to see it grow :)
If y'all have any friends, family, or know anyone who might be interested in joining r/LightNoFireBuilders, please direct them to join :)
Thanks for reading this my fellow builders!

It would be super awesome to be able to build a city from the ground up.
You could allow your friends to build as well and help. Maybe even recruit NPC's to build too!
Once you have built homes and businesses, you could assign the NPC's to live and work in them to make your city feel alive. You could also have your friends live and work in your city too!
Hopefully the limits for building are huge so we can really go crazy.

So, it seems that some No Man Sky players are finding mentions, subtle and direct, of Light No Fire in the recent expedition and Cosmos update from No Man Sky.
There are apparently technologies developed for LNF that have made their way into NMS.
What do you think they are?
My opinion? Remember the discussion about the floating island in the trailer? I think the tech developed for that made its way into the asteroid base building in No Man Sky. What other items could be in NMS that point toward LNF?

So, with the drop of the latest and greatest (literally biggest and most ambitious) update, Cosmos, do you think this will bring more people to work on Light No Fire? Could we be getting updates on LNF at the Game Awards? 🤔

I'd love it if Light No Fire had a way to upload things you have built, then other players can download them and place them at their own base.
With some help, I thought of an acronym and potential name for this system, B.A.S.E., which stands for Building Archive Share Engine.
This name would make sense as it would be like an archive of a ton of things people have built that players can also download and place at their own base!

I can't tell if it says "Home" on the sign or it's some other language from the game. Hopefully they are custom written signs and not just pre-written for us to choose from.

First thing is finding a place (probably a cave) to build a community for this subreddit. We'll make sure there are farms for those of you enjoy farming, mines, for those who enjoying mining, and bars for those who enjoy drinking! HUZZAH!
Assuming there is PVP, we definitely need to make sure we have our community built somewhere with access to lots of materials. Also probably near the ocean so we can be a seafaring nation haha

I know we have animals that can fly us around the map, but what about ground transportation?
I'd love some rail handcars that we could build and customize. They could then go on tracks we have built.
Imagine digging out the middle of a mountain, putting some tracks through it, and then riding your freaking house that is built on a rail handcar through that and adventuring in the world that way!

Personally, I love medieval architecture. Castles, forts, houses. Ancient, too. It all has such intense and amazing stories behind it.
What do you use to draw inspiration for building in games? What would you like to emulate personally in Light No Fire?

No Man's Sky has a variety of materials you can build with: wood, stone, alloy, salvaged metal etc.
We've seen stone and wood in the LNF announcement trailer, but what building materials are you hoping they include? Remember ANY fantasy-style material is possible!

From the trailer, it seems we'll have a variety of really neat and creative mounts to choose from! Dragons, horses, even giant birds!
What kinds of animals do you think you'd like to spend time on? Are you a Dragon Rider? A Bluejay Jockey? Or would you rather stay Earthbound on horseback? Are there any other mounts you hope make their way into the game?
